What stays in your browser
Your best scores and the countries you missed are saved in your browser’s local storage under the name igeo:v1, so you can practise them later. They never leave your device. Clearing this site’s data in your browser deletes them.
igeography sets no cookies and shows no advertising. If that changes, this page will say so first.
Counting visits
We count visits and a few game moments with Vercel Web Analytics, on igeography.net only. It uses no cookies: Vercel tells visitors apart with a hash created from the incoming request, which it discards after 24 hours, and we see only aggregated numbers (we export no raw events).
For each visit it may record the time, the page address, the referring page, an approximate location, the operating system, the browser and the device type. We remove everything after the page address (such as a challenge or a map position in the link) before anything is sent.
The game moments are: a quiz started, a quiz finished, a challenge link created or opened, and a click from the results to a map tool. Each one carries only the name of the quiz or tool and the language of the page.

Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical request data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and keep the service secure.
